Accessibility Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Everyone should be able to find information, understand our services, and ask for help. 508 Help Desk works to make this website usable by people with disabilities and people using different devices and assistive technologies.
Our accessibility goal
Our design target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing process. A formal conformance audit of the current website has not yet been completed, so this statement does not claim that every page or interaction fully conforms.
How we support access
- Semantic headings and a skip link help visitors navigate the page.
- Meaningful images have alternative text, and decorative elements are kept out of the reading order where appropriate.
- Forms include labels, required-field indicators, and validation messages.
- Links and controls provide visible focus indicators, and text colors are chosen for readable contrast.
- Responsive layouts let content adapt to different screen sizes.
We review and improve the website as issues are identified. Automated checks help find some problems; keyboard, screen reader, zoom, and other manual checks are also important to understanding real usability.
Report a barrier or request an alternative
If something prevents you from using the site, please email support@508helpdesk.com. You can also use the request form and select “Website accessibility feedback.” Email is available if the form itself is difficult to use.
To help us investigate, include:
- The page address and the task you were trying to complete.
- A brief description of the problem and any error message.
- Your browser, device, and assistive technology, if relevant.
- The format or assistance that would help you access the information.
Please leave out passwords, confidential records, and sensitive personal information. We aim to acknowledge accessibility inquiries within two business days. Resolution time depends on the issue; we will work with you on a practical alternative when possible.
Third-party websites and content
Links to resources, professional profiles, and other external websites may lead to services we do not control. Their accessibility can vary. If an external resource creates a barrier, tell us which resource you need so we can consider another way to provide the relevant information.
